What we collect
- About you, the buyer: name, email address, billing address, order history.
- About the recipient: name, delivery address, and a contact number where you give one, so the florist can reach them.
- About the order: the items, the delivery date, and the message you write for the card.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by the website and its security and caching tools.
We do not collect your card number. Card details are entered on the page of our payment processor and stay with them.
Why we use it and on what basis
- To carry out your order – to make, deliver and confirm it, and to answer you if something goes wrong. Basis: performance of the contract with you.
- To keep business records – invoices and order records. Basis: our legal obligations.
- To keep the site working and safe – protection against fraud and abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in a functioning shop.
We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
Who else sees it
- The partner florist in the city of delivery receives the name and address of the recipient, the contact number where you gave one, and the text of the card message. They need this to make and deliver the arrangement. They may not use it for anything else.
- Our payment processor handles the card payment.
- Our hosting and email providers store the site and send order confirmations.
Because the controller is a company registered in the United States and our partner florists are in the countries of delivery, your data may be processed both in the United States and in the country where the flowers are delivered.
Writing a message for someone else
When you give us the name, address and number of the recipient, you are giving us data about another person. Please only give details you are entitled to share. We use them for that delivery and nothing else.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as they are needed for accounting and for any claim about the order. We have kept order records since the business started in 2014. Technical logs are kept for a short period and then overwritten.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can also object to processing we base on legitimate interest.
Write to [email protected]. We answer in writing. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
